Life on Mars? - David Bowie nous entraîne peu à peu dans une autre perception du réel.

Life on Mars? est la réponse de Bowie à cet événement, qui lui fit manquer une fortune : la chanson possède la même séquence d'accords que My Way, et comme Bowie l'expliqua lors d'une interview à la BBC, il s'agit d'une « prise moderniste » de la chanson d'Anka.

Life on Mars? est une chanson de David Bowie apparue sur l'album Hunky Dory en 1971, puis sortie en single.Un clip pour cette chanson a été réalisé par Mick Rock. On y voit David Bowie, très maquillé et vêtu d'un costume bleu azur, la chanter devant un fond blanc.
